Alan Drummond an emergency room doctor and former flight surgeon with the Canadian Forces said the equipment and drugs in kits carried by airlines are insufficient to deal with today’s flying public which tends to be older and have more medical complications. Drummond said he was not surprised when he read a story in Tuesday’s Vancouver Sun about the problems two medical professionals from Vancouver encountered last week during back-to-back medical emergencies on an Air Transat flight from England.

The medical regulatory bodies in Uganda Kenya and Tanzania unanimously allowed the university to teach and graduate its medical students. “The three bodies were satisfied with the standards pertaining to training of medical doctors in the university and have agreed to recognise its medical graduates” a statement read.
