Now there are newly voiced concerns that computed tomography or CT may be a health risk as well. The scans which were introduced in the 1970s have revolutionized medical imaging by producing three-dimensional views of organs and other tissues. The scans are undeniably of great value in helping doctors diagnose just what is causing a patient’s illness or pain. But a critique published in The New England Journal of Medicine by two researchers at Columbia University’s Center for Radiological Research warns that usage has spread so rapidly that high lifetime doses of radiation are now becoming a public health hazard.

Nanoscience added the partner has committed to provide funding and resources to help in gaining any necessary regulatory approvals and will carry out global manufacturing product marketing sales and distribution.

Medical students protest

BANGALRE: Medical students from colleges in and around the city came together on Thursday to protest against the proposed ‘ne year compulsory internship Bill’. The protest was supported by several students’ organisations like All India Democratic Students’ rganisation (AIDS) and Medical Students Action Committee. Students raised slogans against the Centre and said the Government was playing with their lives. The Bill will increase the duration of the five-and-half-year course by a year and make it mandatory for medical students from private and government colleges to go through rural internship.
